Diyio

Sound collector, musical narrator and frequency bender. Dimitris Yiouris aka DIYIO is a Thessaloniki based music producer, sound designer and artist. After years of experimentation in different styles and genres of music, DIYIO has found a space where dark textures, evolving ambiences and heavy rhythm percussions, form a blend of analogue and digital sound to create a narrative that takes listeners on an acoustic journey.

His work is a sound collage from field recordings collected from his world travels, together with analogue sounds created in a studio environment using a variety of instruments played by him, with a heavy input of sound design.

All this is showcased in EXHALE, his first personal EP, an electronic project with atmospheric melodies, elements of drone and a very cinematic quality. Presented to audiences for the first time in a vip extended edition at the vitruvian thing on the 7th of December
