Savvas Metaxas has been a member of “Good Luck Mr. Gorsky” and “V.I.A.”, as well as the label Granny Records. He has released more than 10 albums of experimental electronic music, under the alias ‘inverz’, as well as in a duet with Spiros Emmanouilidis. Random everyday sounds, tapes, vinyl abstracts, modular synth/analogue sources with feedback, make up the basic materials of his compositions. His interest lies in creating multilayered soundscapes that vary in texture, intensity, and rhythm.
Jean Charles Delarue, a.k.a. Scenes From Salad (Paris), is an experimental music artist whose work is based on improvisational “lounges”. Known also by his previous alias, “Black Lagoya”, he organises “French deposit events” in Paris, an event series with his favourite local musicians.
At Vitruvian Thing, Savvas Metaxas will focus on the balance of suburban sounds from places with an abundance of water, as well as sonorities that can be produced live, using a modular synthesizer, while Jean Charles Delarue’s approach will rely little in noise and more to narrative elements, equally referential and abstract in nature.
Αdmittance by unspecified contribution policy
At Vitruvian Thing, we acknowledge the difficult financial circumstances of this period. So, unless otherwise noted, admittance to the events we host entails an unspecified amount: you decide how much the ticket should be and, in doing so, you are supporting the artists and helping Die Wolke keep the venue running. At the entrance, we issue donation coupons to acknowledge your contribution, equivalent to receipts, as required by law.
So, upon arrival at Vitruvian Thing and checking in at the welcome desk, you can choose your own price of admission: literally as much as you think is just right for you. You receive your coupon, and enjoy the show.
